As a newlywed, I remember realizing that the wedding was over and it was time to get down to the business of making a marriage. I was very fortunate as a young bride to be a part of a fellowship of married couples. The wisdom I learned from folks who had been married for a long time, the counsel of those at the midpoint, and the camaraderie of my contemporaries, helped me to establish realistic expectations at a critical time in my marriage. I believe that the truths imparted to me at that time and since have been invaluable to the ongoing commitment my husband and I have made to each other.
Likewise, I had many older women who provided sound biblical and practical advice that helped me through my young adult years and now as a mother of young children. They not only told me what they thought I should do, but they shared with me the success and failures in their own lives. And most importantly, they modeled what it was to be a godly woman.
In that same spirit, Passion of the Heart Ministries is the opportunity that God has given me to have an impact in the lives of other women by sharing the truths in His word brought to life by my own experiences. It also allows me to use my personal struggles and triumphs to positively impact the marriages and families of others.
